Homeschool Week 5
It is October! This month will be filled with lots of baby talk, as our bundle of joy is due to arrive anytime now.
Monday- Today is a “down” day. If we have the energy, we will head to Suny Fredonia to walk the nature trail and gather nuts, leaves and twigs. The girls are currently using a flashlight to look for wild animals in the woods. I would like to do some sorting by nut variety/leaf variety for our math lesson but it will depend on what we find.
Tuesday- unknown. I haven’t looked through my literacy activities to begin a new project. We are continuing to work on our post office project, and that theme will continue throughout the year.
Math- leaf/nut math
Science- why do leaves change?
Also- Baby chats. I am hoping to find a few good books on babies for the girls to use for the next few weeks.
Wednesday- ?
Thursday- Homeschool day at the park. Picnic, play and friends.
Friday- Day off depending on how the week has gone.
Art activities will include- leaf and nut painting, collages and twig activities. Also, banner for the baby and making birthday cards.
Free play available all day, everyday. Gillian received a play kitchen for her birthday and the girls have been taking orders. They have also taken a large cardboard box and used it as a doghouse, house, rocket ship and other places.
